PD Webinar - Steps to Reconciliation

Professional Engagement

Teachers have a professional responsibility under AITSL standard 2.4.2 to promote Reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As teachers we have a unique opportunity to advance Reconciliation in what we teach and how we teach about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures in the lead up to the Voice referendum.

In this session the presenter will provide background on the history that has led us to the Uluru Statement and the referendum on a Voice to Parliament.  The presenter will explore the issues and outline the teaching resources available for the classroom.

Presenter - Emerson Zerafa-Payne
