Learning Support Officers often provide direct one to one support for students who struggle with reading or they encounter students who are struggling when working with small groups. In this session an experienced EAL teacher will share some of the strategies and techniques that they use to promote reading among students who have low levels of English literacy. The right support from an LSO can lead to students continuing to read inside and outside of the classroom to consolidate the learning.
