With the increase in mental health disorders in society it can be very complex to understand the various issues that young people are facing and how to deal with episodes when they occur. In this session the presenter will unpack and explore a variety of different mental health disorders that you may experience in a school environment. The presenter will discuss appropriate guidelines as to how you can increase your awareness and your ability to respond. This session will cover the responsibilities of a classroom teacher but will also be helpful for Learning Support Officers working one to one or with small groups of students.
