PD Webinar - Student Wellbeing - Supporting students who are experiencing anxiety

Anxiety has been increasing among the student population and we all know that COVID will increase this this level of anxiety until the community communicates clearly that it has the pandemic under control. Anxiety is a normal part of life but it does prevent students from engaging in learning . This can be frustrating for the teacher and the student. In this course the presenter will explore techniques that you can use when you are working with students who suffer from anxiety, helping you to re-engage the students while they deal with their condition. An important session for teachers, it will also be helpful for Learning Support Officers working one to one or with small groups of students. This course is a great opportunity for IEU members to develop skills and knowledge that they can use to improve the wellbeing of students and colleagues across the school.
