A reasonable adjustment is a measure taken to help students engage with an activity. This can range from the physical setup of the learning environment to the type of work presented or even the way information is prepared for students. All children have unqiue learning needs and making these adjustments ensures that teachers can remove barriers to learning that may prevent a student otherwise engaging with set tasks. This session will discuss what considerations should be made when looking to make adjustments and discuss some practical strategies that can be applied and adapted.
