Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder may experience difficulty when planning, preparing for, getting started and completing work tasks. Understanding the mental processes that enable students to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully will support students approaching work tasks. In this session the presenter will outline specific teaching strategies that they use in the classroom that benefit not only students with ASD but all students in the classroom. These strategies can easily be adapted when working with a whole class, small groups or with individual students.
