Parental Leave handbook
2023 update: the new Victorian Catholic Agreement significantly improves parental leave entitlements. We are preparing an updated handbook.
Key improvements in the new Agreement:
Paid parental leave increases from 14 to 16 weeks
Paid partner leave increases from 1 to 4 weeks
Eligibility for paid parental leave after 3 terms (down from 4)
Superannuation payments & recognition of service for 12 months unpaid parental leave
Paid pre-natal leave for pregnant employees (38 hours) and partners (15.2 hours)
Paid Kinship and Foster Care Leave (15.2 hours, up to 5 occasions).
