Join us for a free full-day conference to equip preservice teachers with the correct information and skills required to enter the teaching profession. You’ll hear from a range of expert speakers on some fantastic topics including:
Working in Catholic & non-government schools
Ever thought about teaching in a Catholic or independent school? Our union organisers will tell you how non-government and government schools differ in terms of pay and conditions, as well as where those conditions come from and how to find them. This session will also cover the job application process for non-government schools, including where to find vacancies and how best to apply for them!
VIT/TRB initial teacher registration & professional expectations
You will have the option to attend a presentation from either the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or the Teachers Registration Board of Tasmania (TRB). These sessions will cover everything you need to know about your initial teacher registration requirements in Victoria/ Tasmania and gain a thorough understanding of what’s expected of you professionally in the initial years of teaching.
Keynote Teachers Toolkit: tips & tricks for your first year of teaching
