This full-day session focuses on giving Reps the tools they need to strengthen their sub-branch by building a collaborative team and sharing responsibilities. Using the Individual, Team, Tasks (ITT) framework, Reps identify individual strengths and align them with the right tasks, enabling them to fully harness the talents of their colleagues.

Reps will collaborate with IEU Organisers and Reps from other schools to develop tailored strategies for:

  • Strengthening sub-branches.

  • Building team capacity through recruitment.

  • Becoming an empowered workplace advocate.

Elected Reps have the right to paid leave to attend union training.

This entitlement is a game-changer for improving industrial literacy across Australian workplaces, and the IEU encourages every Rep in every school to use this opportunity to strengthen their skills and engage their members.

Read more about the rights and protections afforded to elected Reps here.
