All Reps Training

This course will be an opportunity for new and long-term Reps to come together for a day of training that is tailored according to experience. New Reps will be able to develop skills and learn about your rights, your role and the structure of the union. Long-term Reps will delve into the new Delegate Rights provisions and focus on the legal and industrial frameworks that underpin employment conditions in your workplace. You will work with IEU Organisers and Reps from around the state to formulate strategies for developing your sub-branch, building strength through recruitment, and being an empowered workplace advocate.

Reps from Catholic schools are entitled to a day of paid union training leave each year, and Reps from independent schools should speak to their Organiser about the IEU covering replacement costs.

Participation in the day is fundamental to your role as a Sub-branch Rep and attendance is strongly encouraged.

We encourage participants to also join us for IEU Council on Saturday 26 October.
