Decolonize your teaching: Including Aboriginal content in your classroom
The Australian curriculum includes a priority for teachers to integrate Aboriginal perspectives, knowledge and culture into their daily teaching. However, many teachers have little background in how to do this sensitively and in accordance with local Aboriginal protocols. Al Fricker, a proud Dja Dja Wurrung man, former primary & secondary teacher, and academic, will run a practical session to help improve your practice.
