Course facilitators: Andrew Hyde, Abbey Butler

Poor consultation causes disengagement, resistance, poor outcomes, and risks, while good consultation values staff expertise, builds trust, improves policies, ensures smoother implementation, and reduces conflicts.

This training provides practical strategies to strengthen consultation, enhance communication, and support meaningful staff participation. Participants will learn the foundations of consultation, its role in schools, and the rules governing consultative committees. Topics include effective representation as well as meeting preparation, from setting agendas to articulating concerns and advocating for solutions.
